Most people would probably scratch their heads wondering where the common ground is between healthcare and the fandom status of Formula One.

Is it speed? Nope, that’s not it. Big brand sponsorships? Unfortunately not. However, when you start asking questions about safety, rules, regulations and standards, you’d be surprised by how much common ground really exists.

Yet it’s standard for the mention of standards in the context of healthcare to induce eye-rolling due to connotations of compliance, restrictions and being boring. In healthcare data and tech, providers are often limping to meet minimum standards.
