Máxima MC in the Netherlands claims to be the first hospital in the world to wirelessly monitor the vital signs of premature babies. The hospital utilizes the so-called Bambi Belt, a band worn around the baby’s chest. The significant advantage of this relatively new solution is the elimination of the need for electrodes to be applied to the baby’s chest.
