As we encourage patients to begin taking the initiative to care for themselves, we have seen terms like digital self-care, continuous care, the quantified self and e-patients, emerge within the healthcare industry (Fiske 2020). In recent years DTx have allowed patients to move beyond data collection and tracking, towards a more direct and efficient healthcare delivery paradigm.
