Why is it so difficult to implement a “patient engagement” strategy? Simple. No one wants to be a patient.

It is usually only out of necessity that we become patients… a trauma, an infection, symptoms from a chronic disease, bad news (or at least ambiguous news) from the annual physical that requires a follow-up.
