Larry Ellison, co-founder, chair and chief technology officer of Oracle, said he believes his company can take on EHR rival Epic due to its size and integrated approach.

“We decided to go into the medical business against Epic, believing that we could solve much more of the problem because we’re much bigger than they are,” Mr. Ellison said in a Sept. 9 earnings call. “And by the way, we’re much bigger than Workday and … ServiceNow. And we’re solving a larger portion of the problem.”
