AI adoption is accelerating across industries—with it, comes an urgent need for governance.

Many AI tools, both enterprise-grade and freely available, offer incredible productivity gains but also introduce risks. Some of these tools, for example, use data shared with the application for training their models; others harvest user interactions like keyboard stroke patterns, raising concerns about data privacy, security and compliance.

Without a clear AI usage policy about how employees should interact with AI tools, companies risk regulatory breaches, intellectual property leaks and ethical dilemmas. C-level executives must take charge of AI not only from the clear gains perspective but also from the governance side to ensure these technologies are used responsibly.
