ASC leaders are less satisfied than in previous years with their role, and around one-third may exit their roles in the next year, according to OR Manager.

OR Manager surveyed 139 ASC leaders and found 30% said they were either dissatisfied or neutral with their current roles. Around one-third of ASC leaders said they plan to leave their roles within the next year, with the top reasons being:

1. Burnout: 22%
2. Lack of compensation and benefits: 21%
3. Management dissatisfaction: 14%
3. Poor work culture: 13%
4. New career opportunities: 13%
