There is no doubt that the best way to bring a pandemic like COVID-19 under control is through digital contact tracing apps, rather than the analogic approach of using people to do so. That said, it need not be exclusive, and can be used in a complementary way, and doesn’t require huge rollouts or adoption to be effective.

So far, 33 countries have officially developed these type of apps, using different technologies and frameworks; hoping by so doing to alert people when they may have been exposed to the infection, and thus reduce contagion rates.
