With all the hullaballoo around the new administration’s budget wishes, folks can’t stop talking about possible cuts to Medicaid. The Republican-led Congress is considering plans to cut Medicaid funding to help pay for tax cuts, with the House budget resolution targeting $880 billion or more in potential reductions.

All of this talk is fueling fears that the administration may be gearing up to make drastic cuts to Social Security — despite the president repeatedly claiming otherwise.

But what could these potential cuts to Medicaid mean for long term care and senior living?

It’s a wait-and-see game to learn whether the president’s statements that he won’t touch Medicaid are true, or if Elon Musk’s statements about Medicaid are....
