In senior living, the use of wearable devices, which implement Internet of Things technology, has vastly expanded. In fact, the IoT medical devices market is expected to boom over the next seven years, fueled by the expansion of wearable devices, according to a report by SNS Insider.

The IoT medical devices market is forecasted to hit almost $240 billion in 2030, up from $36.55 billion in 2022, more than sextupling in eight years, the new research shows. Throughout senior living communities and the healthcare sector at large, IoT medical devices are used in remote and real-time monitoring, chronic disease management and personal fitness.
