The Department of Veterans Affairs has boosted patient bed capacity and is transitioning to reopen medical centers, part of its mission to expand patient access to care.

News out of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) spells a positive path forward for patient access to care and mental healthcare.

Among the latest announcements from the agency, the VA can boast adequate patient capacity and access to care, a path forward for reopening their medical facilities to non-urgent care, and an mHealth tool helping veterans manage anxiety, stress, and other mental health challenges during the pandemic.

Since the coronavirus outbreak in March, the VA has maximized its patient bed number, increasing patient access to care for both veteran and civilian patients....
