The VA Health and Benefits mobile app is an essential resource for streamlining veterans’ access to their healthcare and benefits, VA executives say.

In an online event on June 6, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT) discussed the achievement of the VA Health and Benefits mobile application surpassing two million downloads. VA executives said veterans have embraced the app rapidly.

Charles Worthington, CTO and chief artificial intelligence officer with OIT explained that after the relaunch of the VA homepage in 2018, they observed that veterans were increasingly accessing VA websites from smartphones. This prompted the creation of the VA Health and Benefits mobile app. The app was soft launched in August of 2021....
