UnitedHealth Group posted nearly $6.1 billion in net income during the third quarter of 2024, a 3.7% increase year over year.

The company said its full year 2024 net earnings outlook of $15.50 to $15.75 per share reflects the sale of South American assets and the impact of the cyberattack on Change Healthcare in February. In 2024, the direct response to the cyberattack has cost the company $1.7 billion, including $341 million in the third quarter alone.
