United Imaging is significantly expanding its U.S. operations.

The Shanghai-based company has signed a deal to add new production and office space in Pearland, Texas, more than tripling the square footage of its North American headquarters and manufacturing facility on Kirby Drive in Houston.

The expansion comes as the company continues to ramp up U.S.-based manufacturing. Over the past four years, United Imaging has introduced local production in Texas for all four imaging modalities it offers, while also maintaining critical spare parts in Houston and other U.S. stocking locations.
