Integration streamlines the implementation process and enhances the clarity and accessibility of results within the EHR, UNC Health physician says

UNC Health in North Carolina is the first health system to integrate with genetic testing company GeneDx through Aura, Epic’s specialty diagnostics suite, allowing clinicians to send orders and receive results from within their EHR.

Aura offers a way for health systems that use Epic to send orders and receive results from labs. For participating laboratories, Aura provides a way to send results without having to configure a traditional point-to-point interface.
