The Pride Institute, owned by King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services, will close its inpatient addiction treatment program in Eden Prairie, Minn., on Jan. 1.

Founded in 1986, the center’s residential program offered affirming care to LGBTQ+ clients in recovery. The Eden Prairie site will transition to outpatient services for all adults, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, Stuart Morrical, director of business development at the institute, wrote in an email to Becker’s.
