I was recently doing some research on a question a client asked me regarding AI and the workforce. They were looking to quantify what executives are thinking about AI versus how their workers think about this important new technology.

As I dug deeper, I found an interesting divide emerging in our thinking about the effects of artificial intelligence on our economy and workforce. There is a significant gap between those driving AI adoption and those impacted by it.

The statistics make for an interesting tale. At least 98 percent of executives are enthusiastic about the technology, thinking it will increase worker productivity. It trails slightly among investors, who are at 94 percent. But what is interesting is that only 47...
