President Trump suggested Thursday that he would be willing to work with Democrats on the issue of health care, as concerns over rising insurance premiums grow.

“What a nice group of Democrats,” Trump said, speaking to the crowd at the White House Congressional Ball. “We have a lot of Democrats, and we welcome you. Honestly, we do.”

“I think we’re going to start working together on health care,” he continued. “I really predict that.”

Trump’s comments come as Republican leadership on Capitol Hill finds itself facing growing pressure to address affordability issues — including health care costs.
