THE GOP HEALTH CARE DIVIDES — Senate Republicans are finally set to vote on a GOP health care plan Thursday — the same day that the Senate will vote on Democrats’ proposal to extend the enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies by three years.

But it’s unclear how broad support is for the proposal Republicans plan to put forward, which involves depositing money into Americans’ tax-advantaged health savings accounts and can be used to pay for certain out-of-pocket medical costs.

Even if all 53 GOP senators were to vote for the proposal, it would still need seven additional votes to advance.
