Earlier this week, President Donald Trump signed an executive order that could reshape the federal regulatory pipeline. If it holds up in court, it could give senior living operators a significant victory.

Specifically, the order requires all federal agencies to submit proposed rules for White House review before they are published in the Federal Register. The goal here, according to the administration, is to align regulatory actions with presidential priorities and enhance accountability.

For senior living operators already grappling with rising costs, labor shortages and evolving consumer expectations, a slowdown in new regulations would obviously be welcome.
