This year’s Augmented World Expo 2024 was held in a new location: Long Beach, California. At the event, Oculus founder Palmer Luckey reminded the audience that Long Beach is where some of the earliest prototypes of the Oculus Rift were born, so in a sense AWE has come full circle by moving south from Santa Clara. While the event had a few stumbles in the new venue, such as out-of-focus projectors, the show also had plenty of highlights, including recognizing a lineup of industry veterans as newly inducted members of the XR Hall of Fame.

All in all, the Long Beach Convention Center felt like a much more spacious and well-situated venue for a big show with over 6,500 attendees...
