The coronavirus pandemic has led to the sudden shutdown of large parts of the US economy, to keep consumers and workers safe from contagion. As we take the measure of the enormous disruption caused and the difficulty of keeping production going while keeping workers safe, one is tempted to ask, where are the robots when you need them?.
