Cannabis use is growing exponentially in the U.S. The legalization of recreational marijuana, a product of the Cannabis sativa plant that contains THC, has fostered this growth along with the rapid development and marketing of related products such as CBD and edibles containing varying amounts of THC and CBD. Legalization has benefits, such as removing the product from the illegal market so it can be taxed and no longer charging users with a crime.
