Boulder (Colo.) Community Health, a hospital composed of 2,400 employees, was once too small to work with EHR vendor Epic, hospital CEO and President Robert Vissers, MD, told the Denver Business Journal in a June 11 article.

A couple of years ago, Dr. Vissers reached out to Epic and was told his organization’s only option was to enter into a contract with a larger health system using the EHR vendor’s software. This would require using a version of the software designed for a larger system, he said.
