Just six anesthesia residency programs in the U.S. failed to fill every available slot for 2025, according to data from the National Resident Matching Program released March 21.

Just seven states, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming, lack anesthesia residency programs.
