HEARTS AND MINDS— Democrats viscerally loathe the Medicaid cuts, work requirements and other GOP health initiatives that are hallmarks of Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act. But those provisions are still months or years away from taking effect.

The impending expiration of Obamacare subsidies, on the other hand, is fast approaching at the end of the month. So Democratic officials are rolling out what they believe is the strongest weapon in the party’s arsenal: heart-wrenching human stories about the impact of insurance premium increases on individual voters.
