COMPETING PLANS — The Senate will vote on competing health care bills today, and both Democrats and Republicans claim their plans are the more affordable option for tens of millions of enrollees, Kelly reports.

But potential cost savings under either plan will depend on who’s buying the coverage.

The GOP plan, from Sens. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana and Mike Crapo of Idaho, could save money for healthy, better-off enrollees. But for sicker and lower-income enrollees, Democrats’ plan, from Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, is the more affordable option, policy experts said.
