We’ve known about the gut-brain axis for decades but there has recently been an unprecedented jump in our knowledge base that has transformed our expectations for its preeminence. In this edition of Ground Truths I’m going to review some of the recent advances that are shaping the field, particularly for a new era of gut hormones in medicine.
