The cybersecurity landscape is facing a critical challenge—a shortage of skilled professionals to combat ever-evolving threats. Despite organizations investing heavily in security infrastructure, the scarcity of talent in the cyber division has become a glaring issue, jeopardizing the safety of sensitive information and critical systems.

Recruiting and hiring cybersecurity staff remains a daunting task for many organizations, with a significant percentage of security professionals stating that it’s “extremely difficult” to find qualified candidates in the field. This shortage has left businesses vulnerable, with “nearly 90% of organizational leaders (87%) [saying] they experienced a breach that they can partially attribute to a lack of cyber skills, up from 84% in the 2023 report and 80% the year prior,” according to Fortinet.
