Medical education globally, and particularly across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), is designed to produce master clinicians, yet it remains largely silent on the subject of entrepreneurship. We are trained to operate within structured, evidence-based systems, yet many of the long-standing challenges in healthcare today — from accessibility to health literacy — require us to step outside those systems to innovate.
My own transition into this space was not planned.
