Digital therapeutics (DTx) and wellness — a subcategory of digital health — has garnered interest from insurers, payers, and health systems as they look to provide more care in non-clinical settings and increase their focus on preventive health and patient engagement tools. Vendors in the space are building products like AI mental health chatbots, FDA-approved software interventions, VR-based wellness solutions, and nutritional coaching apps for chronic disease management.
