Concierge medicine and direct primary care are gaining ground fast and the latest numbers suggest the shift isn’t limited to a few boutique markets.

A growing number of physicians are gravitating toward concierge medicine and direct primary care as they look for more control over schedules, patient relationships and day-to-day practice decisions.

In an interview with Physicians Practice, Jane Zhu, M.D., of Oregon Health & Science University, details the results of a study she led that looked at just how quickly these practice models have grown since 2018.
