Telemedicine is becoming an indispensable part of healthcare, according to Doximity’s Dec. 17 report.

The report, called the State of Telemedicine Report, surveyed 1,100 physicians across 10 specialties, more than 130 nurse practitioners, and 2,400 adult patients about telemedicine.

Here are four key findings from the survey:

  • Eighty-three percent of telemedicine users want virtual care to remain a permanent part of their practice.
  • Sixty-seven percent of physicians report better disease management through telemedicine, with this figure rising to 77% among oncologists.
