The average Medicare beneficiary will have 43 Medicare Advantage plans to choose from in 2024, according to an analysis from KFF published Nov. 8.

The average number of plans per beneficiary is the same as 2023, but up from 38 in 2022 and 28 in 2020.

Ohio has the highest number of plans available on average to beneficiaries, while Alaska will have no MA plans in 2024.

Here are states ranked by the number of plans available to beneficiaries in 2024:
