I am somewhat cynical when it comes to a lot of marketing—especially things like sponsoring sports teams or buying naming rights for stadiums. There is brand exposure for sure, but in my opinion, these things generally have more to do with the ego or the personal hobbies and interests of company leadership than actually moving the needle on marketing.
ReliaQuest is different to me because they are not just putting their name on a college bowl game as a vanity play.
