Fortune and PINC AI on Tuesday released a list of the top 100 hospitals in the United States based on an analysis of over 2,500 healthcare organizations — and 66 are Advisory Board members.

Methodology
To create the list, PINC AI researchers analyzed data from 2,601 short-term, acute care, non-federal U.S. hospitals. Information was collected from Medicare cost reports, Medicare Provider Analysis and Review data, and CMS’ Hospital Compare website.
To measure performance, hospitals were evaluated in five domains:
- Clinical outcomes, including risk-adjusted IP mortality, risk-adjusted complications, healthcare associated infections (HAIs), 30-day mortality, and 30-day readmissions
