Riverside Radiology Medical Group is joining a growing independent coalition of imaging practices, leaders announced Wednesday

The organization is the 38th to join Strategic Radiology and third in California. Riverside Radiology employs 14 physicians, serves two health systems and three hospitals across the state’s Inland Empire region, a metropolitan area bordering Los Angeles County and encompassing San Bernardino and Riverside.

“Our business philosophy is to be wholly physician-owned, so that we as radiologists can determine our future,” RRMG President Ardavan Afshar, MD, said in a statement issued April 17. “In joining the coalition and collaborating with like-minded physicians, we anticipate many opportunities to improve the value of the services we provide.”
