Sixty-five percent of health system revenue cycle leaders surveyed believe generative AI will have a substantial effect on their medical coding operations, according to an Oct. 16 report from Akasa.

Akasa, a revenue cycle firm that uses artificial intelligence, commissioned a survey with responses from 284 hospital and health system CFOs and revenue cycle leaders through the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s Pulse survey program. The survey was designed to assess the adoption of gen ai and large language models at hospitals across the U.S.
