A study presented at the recent American Diabetes Association Scientific Sessions finds that a Diabetes Prevention Program with mHealth tools can help participants stave off type 2 diabetes for eight years.

People at risk of developing type 2 diabetes who take part in an employer-sponsored mHealth program stressing health and wellness can reduce their risk of developing the chronic disease for up to eight years, according to a new study.

The research, presented at the American Diabetes Association’s 79th Scientific Sessions earlier this month in San Francisco, finds that a digital health-based Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) can engage participants for an extended period of time and encourage healthy behaviors, including sustained weight loss and lower blood pressure.
