Last week delivered a chilly, brisk start to RAPID + TCT 2025 in Detroit. As I walked the show floor, I wandered the booths filled with equipment and printed parts, trying to figure out what was new and interesting in the industry. It struck me that the most likely source of rapid change to the AM industry will (as always) comes from software, and that the emergence of AI could make a huge difference to the holy grail of quality, speed, and cost.
