Quorum Health has expanded its presence in West Texas through the acquisitions of Odessa Regional Medical Center in Odessa, and Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring.

The Brentwood, Tennessee-based company had been managing these hospitals since early September under an interim agreement, and now formally owns their operations and non-real estate assets.

The acquisition extends Quorum’s West Texas footprint, where it already runs Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine, and increases its national network to 12 hospitals. According to Quorum CEO Chris Harrison, the company is committed to retaining the current workforce with...
