Rewiring Care for People Facing Diabetes, Obesity, and Hypertension

Today, RamaOnHealthcare talks with Tim Eggena, General Manager, Reach7 Diabetes Studios.

Reach 7 Diabetes Studio

Reach 7 Diabetes Studio: The First Retail Franchise for Diabetes, Prediabetes & Weight Management

RamaOnHealthcare (ROH): There are so many clinics and programs out there. What makes Reach7 different?

Tim Eggena (TM): Most people don’t feel seen in healthcare anymore. It’s rushed, confusing, and scattered across apps, urgent care centers, and insurance portals.

Reach7 was built to change that. We’re not a walk-in clinic, a weight loss chain, or a prescription refill service. And we’re not a virtual doctor behind a screen.

We’re a studio-based, membership-only model focused exclusively on obesity, diabetes, and hypertension – three deeply connected conditions that are wrecking lives, families, and futures across America. Most care today is too generic or reactive to truly help.

We’re a studio-based, membership-only model focused exclusively on obesity, diabetes, and hypertension….

Reach7 is disease-specific, lifestyle-integrated, medication-competent, outcome-obsessed, and completely human-centered. At Reach7, your name is known. Your plan is personal. Your outcome matters.

ROH: Why focus only on those three conditions?

TM: Because they’re the fastest-rising, most expensive, and most misunderstood conditions in the U.S.—and they almost always show up together.

  • 38 million Americans have diabetes
  • 88 million have prediabetes (80% don’t know it)
  • Half of all adults have hypertension
  • Obesity will affect 1 in 2 adults by 2030

These conditions demand care that addresses them together, not in silos. They require time, trust, and tactical support – not rushed check-ins or app-based advice.

These conditions demand care that addresses them together, not in silos.

We don’t manage sore throats or rashes. We specialize in metabolic complexity, where conditions, behaviors, medications, and emotions intersect.

ROH: What’s so disruptive about Reach7’s model?

TM: We don’t take insurance—because we wanted to deliver the best care without restrictions. Our members pay for value because fee-for-service care wasn’t working.

Our members pay for value because fee-for-service care wasn’t working.

We’ve achieved over 90% retention. Charitable organizations are starting to sponsor memberships because they see the outcomes.

I believe Reach7 will earn national attention for this cash-pay, outcome-focused model – and help reshape care standards for diabetes, obesity, and hypertension.

If Secretary Kennedy or his team sees this – let’s innovate and disrupt U.S. healthcare together.

…let’s innovate and disrupt U.S. healthcare together.

ROH: Tim, what exactly does “Reach7” mean?

TM: Thanks for asking, Rama. The name reflects a critical goal for people living with diabetes. Diabetes is diagnosed through a blood test called an A1c, which shows your average blood sugar over time. A healthy target for people managing diabetes is an A1c of around 7%.

Many with uncontrolled diabetes have levels much higher. Our mission is to help them bring those numbers down – to reach 7 – because that means better health and a lower risk of serious complications.

Our mission is to help them bring those numbers down – to reach 7….

ROH: What does the Reach7 experience actually look like?

TM: Picture a dedicated studio, minutes from home—your personal health basecamp—nestled in familiar plazas next to places like Publix.

  • No sterile waiting rooms
  • No guessing about copays
  • No bouncing between providers
  • No restrictions by insurance rules

You’ll meet with a care specialist who knows your latest glucose, weight, BP readings, labs, meds, and goals. And because our studios are part of the community – not tucked away in a medical park – your registered dietitian can literally walk from the studio to the grocery aisle with you within seconds. Our clinical team monitors your biometrics, refines your plan, and checks in to keep you on track.

One of our members said it best:

“I’ve never felt this cared for in my life. This isn’t a clinic. It’s a team that’s walking this road with me.”

“I’ve never felt this cared for in my life. This isn’t a clinic. It’s a team that’s walking this road with me.”

ROH: What kind of results do people actually see?

TM: Our outcomes are tracked and improving every week. In the first 90 days, our members average:

  • 21 lbs weight loss
  • 2.3 point A1c reduction
  • 43+ mmHg systolic BP reduction
  • 92% report better energy, mood, and confidence

When smart data, expert care, and human trust come together – outcomes accelerate.

ROH: What does it cost? Can people afford this?

TM: GLP-1 medications can cost $1,000–$1,400/month without insurance. Even with coverage, many still pay hundreds monthly – often for fragmented care.

At Reach7, it’s $299/month flat. No surprises. No hoops. That covers weekly clinical check-ins, med management, remote monitoring, nutrition coaching, grocery education, and more.

At Reach7, it’s $299/month flat. No surprises. No hoops.

We designed it to be more affordable than doing nothing—and far more effective.

ROH: Who is Reach7 for?

TM: Anyone struggling or unhappy with current care.

Anyone struggling or unhappy with current care.

  • Those tired of waiting weeks for a refill
  • Newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetics needing close insulin management
  • Parents, teens, working adults—anyone ready for real support

We’re your anchor. Your team. Your constant.

ROH: Where is Reach7 heading next?

TM: Our first studio is live in Georgia. Studio two has broken ground. Studio three is in the final stages of site selection. And our national franchise program is taking off.

And our national franchise program is taking off.

We see the future of chronic care in suburban plazas – next to Great Clips, H&R Block, The UPS Store – designed for real life, delivered by experts, and rooted in relationships. Gone is the stigma of diabetes and obesity care.

ROH: What’s next for someone curious but unsure?

TM: Don’t overthink it — just take the first step. Stop by a studio. No pressure, no sales pitch. Just real answers, real support, and a team that’s focused on you.

At Reach7, you’re not a patient in the system. You’re part of something better — a community built to help you take charge, feel stronger, and see real change.

You’re not a patient. You’re a member. And our mission is to help you thrive.
