For hospitals, price transparency is increasingly more challenging.

Since CMS further tightened the rule in November 2023, the risk for substantial fines is now greater than ever before. As new changes are earmarked for Jan. 1, 2025, hospitals face an additional burden to comply or face public shaming and risk significant civil monetary penalties.
