When my son was seven, we had a conversation that changed how I thought about our approach to staffing in senior care.

I was driving Everett to school when he noticed a pickup truck stranded on the shoulder of the highway and wondered what was wrong. The cause was obvious from where I sat, so I casually replied, “Oh, he blew a tire while he was driving.”
