An analysis of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 found that a majority of Medicare Part D enrollees will see lower total out-of-pocket costs in 2025.

The law’s new $2,000 out-of-pocket spending cap for prescription drugs is expected to save most affected enrollees an average of $2,474, representing a 48% reduction in their overall spending, including premiums and cost sharing, according to the report published by AARP.
