Healthcare Technology Report September 15, 2025

Royal Philips, a Netherlands-based health technology company, has announced Transcend Plus, the next generation of its EPIQ CVx and Affiniti CVx cardiovascular ultrasound systems. The platform introduces FDA-cleared upgrades in 2D and 3D imaging, alongside an expanded suite of artificial intelligence applications, now totaling 26—the most in the cardiovascular ultrasound industry.

Designed to address growing demands in cardiology, Transcend Plus enhances visualization of complex cardiac anatomy and improves left ventricular function assessment, one of the most critical diagnostic applications. The new 2D Auto EF and 2D Auto EF Advanced features add AI-driven quantification capabilities for both contrast and non-contrast studies, delivering accurate and consistent results across varied clinical environments.
