The 2025 Medicare Advantage market is seeing major changes, with some insurers expanding into new counties and others exiting certain counties.
In total, 18 major insurers exited some Medicare Advantage markets in 2025, with more than 1.8 million people enrolled in plans in 2024 that will not exist next year. Market exits by Humana, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare collectively affect nearly 70% of those 1.8 million individuals.
