Nine hospitals across Washington state have embarked on a focused effort to improve patient safety as part of a campaign led by Washington Hospital Services, according to a July 13 news release.

The initiative was announced earlier this year, challenging member hospitals to find creative ways to further patient safety education at their respective hospitals.

As of now, the participating hospitals include: Astria, Coulee Medical Center, East Adams Rural Hospital, Ferry County, Forks Community Hospital, Jefferson Healthcare, Mason General Hospital, Prosser Memorial and Pullman Regional Hospital.
