Campaigners are taking legal action to halt a controversial deal between England’s public health system and U.S. spy tech firm Palantir.

Last week, the firm won a $416 million (£330 million) contract with the country’s National Health Service to run a platform that pools certain hospital data and makes it easier to share across individual organisations and local areas.

It’s hoped this “federated data platform” (FDP) will help managers run services more efficiently and help the country tackle it’s long waiting lists.
