Oscar, the New York health insurer backed by Google’s parent company Alphabet, is officially making its entrance into the Medicare Advantage market through a joint venture with Montefiore Health System.

The duo will begin selling private Medicare plans for 2020 when the open enrollment period runs from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7, pending approval by regulators. It also plans to sell Medicare plans in Houston. Oscar originally announced last summer that it hoped to move into the Medicare Advantage market when it raised $375 million from Alphabet.
